Empty Kitchens Full Hearts

Empty Kitchens Full Hearts aims to relieve poverty in Edinburgh by providing meals - made using surplus food - and follow-up support to people across the city, free of charge, and without judgement.

Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering roles include:

  • Food Preparation: Assistant, porter, or cleaner

  • Packing: Preparing food for delivery

  • Delivery: Drivers or cyclists for delivering food within the city bypass

  • Admin: Support with new service users, customer support, and signposting (requires a weekly commitment)

Requirements: filling out a food questionnaire, health and safety forms, and completing an induction.
