Fresh Start

Fresh Start help people who have experienced homelessness set up their new home through the provision of goods and services, working to end the cycle of homelessness and for a better life for those living in poverty.

Volunteering Opportunities

  • Cooking Classes:
    Provide 1:1 help in cooking classes or assist with community meals.

  • Growing Spaces:
    Help in one of four community gardens across the city, gaining new skills and confidence.

  • Fresh Rooms Painting & Decorating Service:
    Transform someone's new home with the painting and decorating team (no experience required).

  • Starter Packs:
    Help assemble essential household item packs at the warehouse on Ferry Road Drive.

  • Pantry:
    Assist the friendly team in the Pantry, helping people with their weekly shopping while gaining retail experience.

  • Shop:
    Support the team in the shop, helping with customer service and weekly shopping.
